Leading mining and industrial ventilation supplier, TLT-Turbo Africa, today announced its participation in Electra Mining Africa 2022, the largest mining industry trade show in the Southern Hemisphere. This three-day event will be held from 5-9 September 2022 at the Nasrec Expo Centre in Johannesburg.

Electra Mining Africa provides the opportunity for industry networking to take place, for delegates and exhibitors to build business partnerships and new connections, and for new products and services to be launched. This year, Electra Mining Africa will be a much-needed platform for buyers and sellers to connect face-to-face again as the 2020 event was not possible, due to the Covid-19 hiatus.

Specialised Exhibitions, organisers of the show, are promising an exciting interactive event with many activities planned by exhibitors and industry partners, and to also celebrate the show’s 50th anniversary. TLT-Turbo Africa will be exhibiting ventilation solutions designed to enhance mining operations while ensuring the health and safety of employees underground.

TLT-Turbo Africa spokesperson, Vusi Madlopha says that the company welcomes the return of tradeshows and that they are looking forward to seeing existing and potential customers at the event. “Electra Mining is one of the largest gatherings of mining equipment suppliers and mining houses, as well as interested parties from other industrial sectors. This makes it a key event on our calendar for 2022 now that tradeshows are opening again,” says Madlopha. “For us, this event provides the opportunity to engage with key clients in the region and to showcase what makes our mine ventilation equipment different.”

TLT-Turbo Africa’s exhibition will focus on their recently expanded Auxiliary & Booster fan range and the new Modular Mine Fan offering. The Modular Mining Fan concept offers a range of modular solutions that cater to almost every ventilation requirement and aims to set a new standard for mine ventilation innovation. The range offers a modular design that results in a well-engineered and efficient ventilation system at lower operational and maintenance costs. Customers have the flexibility to order required units and build on the system as their requirements grow – resulting in lower initial expenditure with more economical options for system expansion.

TLT-Turbo will also feature experts from Germany who will be sharing knowledge on mine ventilation fan acoustics and noise attenuation. The experts will deliver a discussion paper during the Exhibition’s seminar on Occupational Health and Safety in mining.

Madlopha says that participating at events such as Electra Mining puts these innovative mining ventilation fan ranges in the spotlight of the world stage making the event an important focus for their 2022 marketing and sales strategy. “For the past two years we have been unable to engage with customers face to face. Now we can showcase the ways in which our applications can benefit them up close and in person,” he comments. “Our attendance at Electra Mining Africa underscores our dedication to helping operations in Africa optimize their ventilation strategies and systems to adapt to, and overcome challenges related to operating environments, energy consumption, and changing legislation.”

TLT-Turbo Africa’s exhibition is located at Stand C5 in Hall 9. Media are invited to the stand for comments and information on TLT-Turbo Africa, current mining ventilation trends and event feedback. Vusi Madlopha and several additional TLT-Turbo Africa representatives will be present to answer all questions.
